Here are three things I wish the BIR would do to improve services:
1. BIR would allow the pre-computation of taxes required to be paid for selling real properties–before the notarization of the Deed of Absolute Sale (DOAS).
As mentioned in a previous post, the BIR would only allow ONETT computations after the DOAS is notarized.
2. BIR would publish zonal value (ZV) revisions in the same newspaper or, better yet, their website.
Currently, RDOs publish zonal value revisions in different newspapers. Some even less popular ones that are not available in convenience stores. Well, it would be best if they scrap the newspaper announcement and just publish ZV revisions on their website. It's what the SEC and PSE do for corporate disclosures.
3. BIR would make the effectivity dates of zonal value revisions on the date when they publish on their website.
Assuming they still decide to publish in the broadsheet of their choice, could they make the effectivity dates of the revisions the date when they're published in the BIR website?
Just some wishful thinking.
