The target completion date for MRT-7 is now seen to commence by March 2025. The delay is due to right-of-way issues. In August 2022, the government targeted full operations as early as 2024.
The 22-kilometer MRT-7 is expected to reduce travel time between Quezon City and Bulacan from two to three hours to just 35 minutes once it becomes fully operational.
MRT 7 will have 14 stations:
San Jose del Monte
Tala
Sacred Heart
Quirino Highway
Mindanao Avenue
Regalado Avenue
Dona Carmen
Manggahan
Batasan
Don Antonio
Tandang Sora
University Avenue
Quezon Memorial Circle
North EDSA
The MRT 7 project is merely Phase 1 of San Miguel Corporation's plans for a more extensive railway system network connecting to the company's airport project in Bulacan.
When everything's (including the Metro Manila Subway) done a decade from now, Metro Manila will look a lot different.
