Here are three real estate-related business ideas for entrepreneurial folks. These ideas are still rudimentary, but they're good starting points...
1. Staging companies
In other countries, they have staging companies that furnish a property so buyers/tenants can better imagine how it is living in the property. People are likely discouraged because operations might be too costly to make a decent profit. But why not use props like a plastic dining set?
2. Tenant Database
This company would set up a database for tenant feedback. Were the tenants ideal or unideal? This database can be simple and no different from how AirBnB allows owners to rate their guests. The platform can have brokers/renters subscribe to the service–similar to the state-sponsored platform they have in Australia.
3. Database for Secondary Market Prices
In the US, industry stakeholders can see much data on "done" transactions online. However, it's a different story here. "Done" prices would be ideal, but even a compilation of asking prices would be tremendously helpful.
I know some have done "web-scraping" (automated collection of data from different RE platforms), but this has remained to be an expensive ordeal (US$200 each time). A programmer can do this regularly and offer to sell them on a subscription basis.
