A foreign tenant rented out a condo unit prior to the pandemic. When the pandemic hit, he returned to his home country but continued to lease the unit.
When he returned to the unit, the electricity was cut off to his surprise. Someone turned off the main breaker. This shouldn't be a problem for most tenants (in fact, some tenants would appreciate this since they'll be saving on electricity). However, he kept expensive medicine in the refrigerator and all of them have gone bad.
Lesson: Never turn off the breaker without the tenant's permission.
