Here are seven upcoming projects in Luzon we can all look forward to...
1. Solaire QC - Enrique Razon said in a statement that they expect to open by 4Q2023. Let's see if its completion boosts demand for Vertis North.
2. Bulacan Airport by 2027 - The New Manila International Airport (NMIA) of San Miguel Corporation is expected to start operations in 2027. This shall help boost tourism in the country and help decongest traffic since air-bound Northerners wouldn't need to pass through EDSA to go to NAIA.
3. C6 / Southeast Metro Manila Expressway - Construction and right-of-way acquisitions are ongoing. This highway shall cut the travel time from Quezon City to FTI Complex (Taguig) from 1.5 hours to 35 minutes. This highway shall likewise pass through Ortigas East which may further boost land prices in Antipolo. Completion was initially targeted to be in April 2023.
4. Metro Manila Subway - Construction Partially opened in 2025 and will be substantially operational by 2028. The most anticipated project by all.
5. Pasig Expressway - This elevated expressway will cut travel time from Manila to Rizal province from two hours to 15 minutes. The target completion date is before 2027.
6. Cavite-Batangas Expressway - Now, two companies (Metro Pacific and San Miguel) are eyeing to develop a highway traversing Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas. This would cut travel time from Cavite to Nasugbu from 1 hour 45 minutes to 45 minutes. This shall be a win for beach villages in Batangas. Though, this project is still up for approval.
7. Bataan-Cavite Bridge - This inter-island bridge will cut travel time between Bataan and Cavite from five hours to 30 minutes. The project, however, is still in the design stages, so it might take a while to see this completed.
